NCTA Cloud Technologies Certification Training
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
To be a cloud technologist, and, eventually, a cloud master, you must understand common technologies, benefits, and trends that are drawing businesses and organizations for all types to use cloud services. In this course you will learn that fundamental information. In addition, you will apply those concepts to evaluating, selecting, planning, and implementing clouds Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. In doing so you will identify common barriers to adoption, and strategies that can avoid common cloud implementation pitfalls. You will exit this course well versed in the different types of SaaS solutions that businesses of all size use, and have the skill to compare, evaluate, and recommend which services are the best choice in a given scenario.
Target Student:
This course is designed for system administrators or prospective system administrators who have one year of experience working with Windows Server or other server platforms and who want to develop their evaluation, selection, and implementation skills for cloud services, including Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions, and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions that target businesses of all sizes.
Hardware Requirements: For this course, you will need one computer for each student and one for the instructor. Each computer will need the following minimum hardware configurations:
1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
CD-ROM drive (if installing any software from a CD-ROM)
Keyboard and mouse (or other pointing device)
1024 x 768 resolution monitor recommended
Network cards and cabling for local network access
Internet access (contact your local network administrator)
Printer (optional) or an installed printer driver
Projection system to display the instructor's computer screen

Entrance Requirements:
To ensure your success in this course, you should have experience with basic client and server deployment, configuration, and use. This includes configuring network connectivity, configuring server and client communications, installing Windows or Linux servers, using administrative tools, configuring system properties, and configuring networking settings. You can obtain this level of skills and knowledge by taking the following course: CompTIA Network+ (Exam N10-006)High School Diploma/GED
