The CompTIA IT Fundamentals Site License is ideal for organizations planning to test a number of students within a one year period. For a single payment, an organization can purchase the right to deliver 50 exams at a significantly reduced per test cost.
IMPORTANT:
The exams will be delivered at your facility using IBT technology (Internet Based Testing). Purchaser will provide computers with an internet connection that meets the minimum requirements. Exams are not delivered at a Pearson VUE Testing Center. Organizations must designate individuals on their staff to proctor the exams. CompTIA IT Fundamentals covers a range of IT topics and measures familiarity and knowledge in a variety of the technology concepts and practices organizations use today.
The credential is intended for individuals considering a career in IT, as well as those individuals whose jobs require them to have a foundational level understanding of IT terminology and practices, but who are not necessarily involved in the same day-to-day, hand-on work with technology that an IT professional is.
Content covered includes:
- Identifying and describing computer components
- Setting up a workstation, including installing and configuring software
- Establishing network connectivity
- Identifying compatibility issues
- Identifying and preventing security risks
- Performing preventative maintenance on computers
CompTIA IT Fundamentals can be a stepping stone to more advanced certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+.
